PSA: That 'fast-dry' seam sealer in the green tube is a total liar in humid weather

Used it on a job in Charleston last Tuesday and the seams were still tacky 4 hours later, almost ruined a whole room. Anyone know a better brand that actually works when it's muggy?

Used to swear by that stuff myself. A summer in Savannah taught me it just can't handle the moisture. I switched to the red label stuff from the same aisle and it actually dries.

Wait, you had it fail in Charleston too? That's the exact same place I learned my lesson. I always thought that green tube was the best stuff you could buy, no question. But a really humid day on a job site made it stay wet for hours, just like you said. I had to switch to the red label brand from the hardware store and it made all the difference. That stuff actually dries when the air feels thick.
