My old boss laughed at me for buying a $40 knee kicker instead of using my knee, guess who was right
Back when I started stretching carpet in Dayton, my boss said only rookies waste money on a knee kicker and real installers just use their knee. I did it his way for 8 months and my right knee swelled up so bad I could barely walk up stairs. I finally bought a $40 kicker from the supply shop on 3rd street and finished a 1200 sq ft job in half the time with zero pain. My old boss still swears by the knee thing but he also limps now, so do what you want with that info. Any of you guys still kicking by hand or did you all switch over?
