Just figured out my power stretcher technique was costing me callbacks

I was getting a lot of jobs where the carpet felt loose after a few months, especially in bigger rooms. A homeowner in Springfield pointed out a ripple I'd missed and said, 'It looked great the day you left.' That got me thinking. I checked my old work and realized I was setting the stretcher head too shallow, maybe only getting 1% stretch instead of the needed 2%. I was relying on knee kickers for the final tension. Has anyone else dialed in their exact stretcher settings to fix this?

Remember my buddy who had the same issue? He finally listened to @felix_thomas73 about setting it deeper, and it totally fixed those callbacks. I mean, it sounds simple but that extra bit of bite makes all the difference.

Man, that's a classic mistake. Dial that head in deeper and you'll lock it down.

Dial that head in deeper" is what the manual says too.
