Bought a $180 power stretcher off a guy in Tulsa and the damn thing died on the third room
Ran it maybe 20 minutes total before the motor started smoking, and now the seller wont answer a single message, so has anyone else gotten burned buying used gear off marketplace?

Used gear is just part of the trade, and a power stretcher for $180 is a deal no matter how you slice it. A new one runs way more than that, so when you buy used you are rolling the dice on how the last guy treated it. Twenty minutes of run time on a motor that old could just mean it was already on its way out before you got it. Seller going quiet is a bummer but that is how marketplace works, no warranty, no returns. Next time test it in the parking lot before you hand over cash, run it for five minutes and listen for anything weird.
