That $40 Bosch router bit I bought on clearance was the best money I ever spent on a single tool
Grabbed it at a hardware closeout last spring and it cuts dados so clean I don't even have to sand the edges anymore, anyone else find a killer deal on a bit that changed their game?

That Whiteside bit sounds like a steal. It's funny how a good bearing-guided bit just makes everything feel smoother, no chatter or burn marks. Once you use a quality one it's hard to go back to the cheap stuff.

Man I used to think bits were all the same but a deal like that changes your mind.

Picked up a Whiteside router bit on a closeout rack a few years back for about half price. It was one of those chamfer bits with the bearing guide and it still cuts like new. Sometimes the cheap finds at the end of a store's stock are the best ones.
