PSA: I thought Japanese pull saws were just a gimmick until I tried one on a tricky miter

Had to do some trim work in an old Denver house last week. Corners were all out of square. My regular saw kept binding. Grabbed a cheap pull saw from the truck as a last resort. Thing cut through the oak like butter with zero tear-out. Anyone else have a tool they wrote off that actually saved a job?

Ever try one on plywood? The clean edge is a total game changer for finish work.

Oh man, I was the same way with those saws! I totally thought they were just for show. That thin blade makes all the difference on tricky cuts. I felt pretty silly for doubting it.

Haha yeah it's funny how our brains work like that. That reminds me of when @derek939 I swore my angle grinder was broken because it wouldn't cut straight through a steel beam and my buddy just laughed and showed me I was using the wrong disk the whole time.
