Just dropped $400 on a new framing nailer and it's already paid for itself

I was framing out a garage addition last week, a three day job. My old pneumatic nailer was acting up, jamming every few shots and slowing me down big time. I bit the bullet and grabbed a new cordless model from the supply house. The first day with it, I finished the wall sheathing in half the time. No more dragging the hose around or stopping to clear jams. It felt like cheating. The speed and consistency let me get ahead of schedule, which the client noticed. Honestly, I was worried about the cost, but the time it saved on just that one job made it worth it. What's the last tool you bought that felt like a game changer right away?

My old Paslode finally gave up the ghost last year, same deal with the constant jams. Switched to a cordless Metabo and it was like night and day, no compressor noise was a huge bonus. The real test was a big porch rebuild, I saved at least a full day just on labor. Now I tell guys if a tool costs you more than a day's wage in downtime, it's already paid for itself.

A full day saved on one job is wild. My old compressor setup had me losing half an hour just untangling hoses before I even started. That math about a day's wage in downtime is painfully true, though nobody wants to admit it when the old tool is still sort of working.
