Jigsaw blade walked off the line on a cut last Thursday

I was trimming a piece of oak in my garage in Nashville and the blade veered so bad I had to scrap the whole board, has anyone else had luck with a different brand of blade for tight curves?

Man, I feel your pain on that one. It's like jigsaw blades have a mind of their own sometimes, especially when you're trying to follow a tight curve. @evan151 is right about Diablos being hit or miss, but I've noticed it's not just blades. It's like everything in life has a tolerance for pressure, and once you cross that line, it just goes sideways. Woodworking is just a good reminder that cheap tools punish you twice, once when they fail and again when you have to buy a replacement. I switched to Bosch blades for curves and they track a lot straighter, but nothing beats taking a slower feed rate even with a good blade.

Did you accidentally give it too much of a side-eye or was it just feeling rebellious? I've got a cheapo Diablo blade that basically turned my last project into modern art.

Yeah, Diablos can be hit or miss sometimes.
