Finally figured out why my miter saw cuts were drifting by about 1/8 inch
Been fighting this for weeks on a cabinet job in my garage and it was driving me up the wall. I kept blaming the blade so I dropped $90 on a new one and the gap was still there. Turned out my extension cord was too thin and the saw was losing power mid cut on the thicker stock. Swapped to a 12 gauge cord and every cut has been dead on for the last 3 days. Anyone else get fooled by something that simple?

Had the same thing happen with my circ saw on a deck build last summer. Kept getting wavy cuts and thought the blade was dull, turned out my cord was undersized for the run. Switched to a short 12 gauge and the problem went away.
