Caulk gun jammed halfway through a $4,000 siding job
I was out in Buford, Georgia last Thursday finishing a HardiePlank install when my caulk gun just locked up solid. The plunger rod bent like a pretzel and I couldn't get any sealant out for 20 minutes. Had to take a Sawzall to the damn thing to pry it open and finish the bead by hand. Any of you guys had a brand name gun fail on you in the middle of a big job like that?

Man, cheap tools always break at the worst possible time. Story of my life.

$40 angle grinder from harbor freight got me through three full fence jobs and a deck rebuild before it finally gave out. That's like 18 months of heavy use for the price of a fancy lunch. Sure, a Milwaukee might last ten years but tell me how much that hurts when some crackhead steals it off your truck next week. Cheap tools keep honest people working, and they keep me from crying when my gear grows legs.
