Warning: wasn't tracking my pay stubs close enough for 6 months

I just realized my company was shorting my overtime by about $200 a month because they were using the wrong hourly rate for a project bonus I got back in March. My buddy at lunch noticed his check was off too and told me to double check mine. How often do you guys actually audit every line on your paychecks?

$200 a month adds up, but I only check mine when something feels off.

$200 a month for a subscription that only does automatic checks when something feels wrong? That's wild to me. I signed up for a service once that charged me $15 a month and I was mad when I found out it was running in the background doing nothing useful for six months. Can't imagine handing over two hundred bucks for something that only kicks in when my gut tells me somethings up. Feels like paying for a security guard who only shows up after the break in happens.
