Warning: Blew $800 on a career coaching package that was just recycled YouTube advice

I paid a so-called expert $800 for a 6-week program last spring and every single tip was something I could have found for free on LinkedIn articles or career blogs, so has anyone else had better luck with specific coaches or are most of them just selling fancy calendars?

I burned $600 on one who just taught me how to update my resume with buzzwords. Try asking for a free 30 minute call first and see if they actually tell you anything useful before you pay.

Heard a buddy paid a career coach $400 and all he got was told to "lean in" more lol.
