Used to apply to 50 jobs a week and get maybe 2 callbacks

Switched to a referral-based approach 3 months ago. Now I send out 5 targeted applications and hear back from 3 of them. Anyone else ditch the spray-and-pray method?

Respectfully, quantity still matters when starting from zero connections.

My buddy did the same thing and got crickets for months before his cousin's old coworker hooked him up.
