The week I got laid off I also got 3 interview calls in 2 days
Back in 2019 I worked at a marketing shop in Columbus and got called into a room on a Tuesday morning. Boss said they were cutting 6 people and I was one of them. Walked out with a box and a check for 2 weeks. Weird part was my phone blew up that same afternoon. A recruiter I had blown off 8 months earlier called back. Then a guy I used to sit next to at my first job texted me about an opening on his team. By Thursday I had 3 real interviews lined up. I sat in my car in the Kroger parking lot and just laughed because none of it made sense. Looking back I think getting fired forced me to actually answer calls and update my resume instead of saying I was too busy. Has anyone else had a layoff week turn into something weirdly lucky like that?
