The week I accidentally shadowed the wrong manager at Baird

So I showed up for my first week of my internship at a big firm in Milwaukee, and I somehow got assigned to shadow Dave from HR instead of Dave from actual stock research. Two full days in, Dave's like 'you're a finance major right?' and I wanted to crawl under the desk. It actually turned out to be a good thing because Dave let me sit in on a bunch of hiring interviews for different departments. Has anyone else had a mix-up like that turn into a lucky break?
