Spent $350 on a professional resume writer and it was a waste
I paid a service to rewrite my resume for a tech job in Seattle, but they just used generic buzzwords that didn't fit my actual experience. Has anyone else had better luck with a specific platform or just doing it yourself?

$350 and all you got was a word salad. I paid $200 once and they changed "managed kitchen inventory" to "optimized supply chain workflows" which is just a fancy way of saying I counted boxes of frozen fries. Honestly you probably could have asked ChatGPT to write it for free and gotten the same generic nonsense. Just rewrite it yourself and save the cash for something that actually matters like a good pair of shoes for the interview.

Did you see that one study that showed most recruiters spend like 6 seconds on a resume? lol If they're just scanning for keywords anyway, spending hundreds on a resume writer seems like a total waste. Honestly, just tailor your own resume for each job and save that money for something that'll actually get you in the door.
