Showerthought: Found out most job applications get reviewed in under 10 seconds

I was reading a study from The Ladders the other day that said recruiters spend an average of 7.4 seconds looking at a resume before deciding yes or no. That surprised me because I always thought they took a few minutes at least. Has anyone else come across stats like this that changed how you write your applications?

Honestly that tracks with how little attention spans are in general these days. Tbh it's the same with how people scroll through social media or skip ads after two seconds, everything is just fighting for that split second of notice.

Yeah, pretty much the whole internet is just a reflex test now.
