Serious question: how do you recover when your boss catches you watching cat videos during a "meeting"?

I was in a Zoom call last Tuesday for our weekly team check-in, and I thought my mic was muted while I watched this hilarious compilation of cats knocking things off shelves. Turns out my boss had been asking me a direct question for 30 seconds while I was cracking up at a tabby destroying a vase. I froze, said "sorry, my dog was being loud," and immediately switched to pretending I was taking notes. Has anyone else had a tech moment that totally backfired on them?

Did you try blaming the cat video on "cybersecurity awareness training" or is that just my go-to excuse?

My buddy Phil once got caught mid-yawn during a serious budget review and said "sorry, just stretching my jaw, had a dentist appointment." Boss didn't buy it and made him re-explain the whole spreadsheet line by line.
