PSA: found out 78% of people who take a counteroffer are gone within a year

Saw that number on a Robert Half survey from 2023 and it stopped me cold, since I almost said yes to a $6k bump from my old boss in Cincinnati. Did taking the counteroffer work out for you, or did you leave anyway?
