Paid $150 for a resume writer and honestly it was the best money I spent this year

I was stuck applying to jobs for about 4 months with maybe 2 callbacks total, so I finally paid a woman on Etsy $150 to rewrite my resume and cover letter. She cut my old 2 page resume down to one page and moved my numbers to the top of every bullet. Within 3 weeks I had 5 interviews and ended up with a job that pays $8k more than what I was making before. Now I'm wondering if I should have done it way sooner or if I just got lucky with timing. Has anyone else paid for one of these services and did it actually move the needle for you?
