My old boss pulled me aside after a shift in Columbus and asked where I saw myself in 3 years
Last Tuesday my shift lead at the warehouse in Columbus pulled me into the break room and asked point blank where I saw myself in 3 years. I gave some dumb answer about moving up to supervisor, and she just looked at me and asked why I'd want her job when I complain about her hours all the time. That hit me harder than I expected, since I'd been saying it because it felt like the right answer and not because I actually wanted it. Now I'm sitting here wondering what I do want and how to even figure that out. Has anyone else had a boss call out a career goal that was really just a script you were repeating?
