My entire career change plan fell apart after one bad meeting with a mentor
I spent six months mapping out a switch to tech sales and even paid $200 for a resume rewrite, but after a 30 minute call with a guy in the field he said my personality was "too laid back" for the grind. Now I'm back to square one and wondering if I should just stay in my current job. Has anyone else had a mentor totally derail your plan like that?

Read somewhere that most successful people had bad mentors first, so maybe don't take one opinion too seriously.
