My boss in 2015 said my resume looked like a phone book
I used to cram every single job duty onto one page, thinking more words meant more value. After that comment, I cut it down to just the big wins and numbers. Now I keep it to three bullet points per job, max. Anyone else have a boss give them a resume wake up call?

That phone book comment hits home. My old manager once told me my resume read like a grocery list of tasks, not a story of what I actually did. Made me rethink the whole thing.

Three bullet points is a solid rule. Did you find it hard to pick which wins to leave off at first? I bet some good stuff got cut.

Actually, I think limiting yourself is a mistake. You end up hiding your best work just to fit a made up rule. Let the good stuff shine, even if the list gets a little long.
