Just realized showing up 15 minutes early to every meeting got me a promotion in 4 months

I was always the guy scrambling in right on time until a coworker told me early arrival looks like you care more. Tried it for a full quarter and my boss started giving me better projects without me even asking. Has anyone else seen a simple habit like this change how people treat you at work?
