Fell for that $300 online career coaching package and got nothing useful

I dropped $300 on a career coaching package from some Instagram girl who claimed she got people into tech roles fast. All she gave me was a generic resume template and a link to a free LinkedIn course. I could have done that myself in an afternoon for zero dollars. Has anyone else had luck with career coaches or is it all just smoke and mirrors?

Your best bet is to skip the Instagram coaches and find someone local who charges by the hour, maybe through a community college or even your local library. They'll give you honest feedback on your actual resume and interview style, not just a pretty template. Stay away from anyone who promises a fast track into tech, that's almost always a red flag.
