Warning: the barn I rented in Fresno had a dirt floor and it cost me a rear main seal
I parked my old Chevy in a buddy's barn outside Fresno from October to March, thinking dirt was softer than concrete. Turns out the ground held moisture all winter, and I came back to rust on the frame and a leaking rear main seal. I moved it to a concrete pad in town for $65 a month and pulled the drain plugs, and the underside stayed dry all summer. Now I put a cheap tarp down and leave a box of baking soda in the cab too. Anyone else had a dirt floor eat their car, or did I just get unlucky with that one barn?
