Finally chose a carport over a storage unit for my '68 Camaro and saved $120 a month
I was paying $185 a month for a 10x20 storage unit in Phoenix just to keep my project Camaro out of the sun. The unit had no power and I couldn't even open the doors all the way. Last month I paid $700 to have a metal carport installed on my side yard instead. Now I can actually work on it whenever I want and the car stays dry. The unit manager called me and said I was making a mistake, but my wallet disagrees. Has anyone else ditched a rented unit for something at home?
