Dropped $180 on a car capsule for my grandfather's old Chevelle and I'm still not sure if I got burnt
Two winters ago I stored my grandfather's 1972 Chevelle in a buddy's barn off Route 9 and the mice turned the headliner into a motel. So last fall I got talked into one of those inflatable bubble capsules at a swap meet in Allentown, 180 bucks, guy swore it keeps out rodents, dust, and moisture all at once. Got it home, set it up in my shop, and the zipper busted the second time I crawled in to check the battery tender. Patched it with duct tape like an idiot, then found condensation beading up inside after a cold snap in January. The car came out in spring with no mouse damage but a weird musty smell in the carpet that took a full weekend of baking soda to kill. So I'm out 180 plus a box of soda, and I still don't know if the capsule helped or if the barn just had fewer mice that year. Anyone here run one of these bubbles long term, and did you figure out a trick for the moisture or did you just go back to a plain cover?
