I put my 68 Impala away in my uncle's garage in Buffalo last October and my dad kept saying to leave the $30 battery tender plugged in the whole time, not just a day or two a month like I'd been doing. I figured it was overkill and honestly worried a cheap charger would cook the battery if it ran for six months straight. Came back in April, turned the key, and it fired up on the first try with the electrolyte levels right where they should be, while my neighbor's Camaro needed a jump and a new battery. So yeah, I was wrong, and now I want to know if any of you run a tender on a car you only drive twice a year, or do you just pull the battery and stick it on a shelf?
