Dad said put a bag of charcoal in my Camaro for winter, I laughed at him
Stored my 79 Camaro in my uncle's barn near Rockford last November. Dad kept saying to throw a bag of charcoal in the trunk and on the floor mats. I thought it was some old guy trick, so I only did the trunk. Pulled the cover off in April and the trunk smelled fine but the cabin had that damp funk and a little surface rust on the door sill. Cost me about $40 in charcoal for the whole car and I could have skipped the scrubbing. Anyone else run charcoal or do you use those damp rid buckets instead?
