Update on my Coleman vs. Ozark Trail cooler debate from last summer

I picked the Coleman because it was $40 cheaper, but the Ozark Trail my buddy brought kept ice for a full day longer on our trip to Lake Tahoe. Anyone have a solid budget cooler that actually lasts?

People forget how you pack it matters more than the brand sometimes. If you pre-chill your cooler overnight and use block ice instead of cubes, any decent cooler will last longer. My old cheap Igloo does fine when I take the time to pack it right, but it's useless if I just throw warm drinks and a bag of ice in there.

Actually had the opposite happen last year. My Coleman held ice way better than my cousin's Ozark Trail on a camping trip, it was still solid after two days. Sometimes it just comes down to luck with the specific cooler you get.
