Did you have to deal with that mildew smell too? I had a down bag that got soaked on a trip in the Smokies a couple years back. Took forever to dry out and even then it had this weird musty smell that never really went away. I ended up giving it to a buddy who said he'd try to wash it with some special soap, no idea if it ever helped. Switched to a synthetic bag for car camping and it's been fine, but I gotta say I miss how light the down one was for backpacking. Maybe I just need to learn better rain management or something.
