My old sleeping bag hit 100 nights in the field and I'm shocked it's still warm

I just tallied up my trip logs and my basic synthetic bag from 2018 has seen 100 nights out, mostly in the White Mountains. The baffles are flat and it looks beat, but it still held up at 35 degrees last weekend. I figured it would be useless by now. Has anyone else gotten way more life out of a piece of gear than they thought possible?

Dude, same thing happened with my old rain jacket! That thing was totally delaminated and I kept it as a backup for years. Pulled it out on a soggy hike last fall and it still kept me dry for a few hours. Sometimes gear just refuses to die, even when it looks like trash. I've learned not to judge a piece by its looks alone if it's still doing its job.

Just wash it with tech wash and it'll puff back up a bit.
