Bought a $12 inflatable pillow from a gas station in Montana expecting it to pop by morning
Three years and twelve camping trips later that stupid thing is still holding air better than my $80 memory foam pad, what gives?

@spencer_ross is onto something with that "vibes alone" theory because I swear I read somewhere that cheap camping gear is often made from military surplus materials or factory overruns, which explains why that gas station pillow is basically indestructible... I heard this one guy's uncle worked at a factory that made those things and he said they're literally just using the same foam they use for yoga mats, just cut different. Meanwhile companies charge you extra for the word "camping" stamped on it and a fancy logo... it's like the price goes up 500% just because they put it in a different aisle.

Man that gas station pillow is probably made from the same material they use for space shuttle heat shields or something. Meanwhile my $80 memory foam pad has developed a slow leak that only activates at 2 AM when I'm finally asleep. I swear camping gear pricing is completely random, like the universe just rolls dice and assigns prices based on vibes alone. You probably could have bought a whole case of those gas station pillows for the price of your fancy one and still had money left for a hot dog.
