Wasted $60 on a hot air rework station I barely use
Bought one of those cheap $60 hot air stations off Amazon for surface mount work on a Nikon board. It works fine but I've only used it twice in 6 months, and most of my repairs are just cleaning switches and replacing caps. Anyone else buy a tool that sounded great but ended up collecting dust?

That oscilloscope I bought for audio repairs has been sitting in its box collecting dust for almost a year now.

Collecting dust for almost a year" I mean is it really that bad? You bought it for a specific thing and just haven't gotten around to it yet. Life gets busy, audio repairs are a niche thing. I have a soldering iron I bought three years ago for one job and it's still in the box. Unless you're really hurting for cash, it's not the end of the world.
