Warning: Don't waste money on cheap lens cleaning kits

I spent $30 on one of those all-in-one lens cleaning kits from Amazon and the brush shed bristles all over my 50mm f/1.8. Had to pay a pro $80 to get the glass properly cleaned. Has anyone else had a cheap tool mess up their gear like this?

Its funny how this same pattern shows up everywhere. People buy the cheapest vacuum and then complain when it clogs after three uses. Or they get the bargain bin lawnmower that dies halfway through the season. We all want to save a few bucks, but sometimes that savings just moves the cost somewhere else, like your $30 kit turning into an $80 cleaning bill. Makes you wonder if we ever really learn the lesson or just keep repeating the cycle.

Is that the part where we all pretend this time will be different, then get surprised when the same cheap thing breaks the same way? It's like we're all stuck in some weird bargain basement time loop.
