Rant: Hit 500 film camera light seals replaced this year

I just tallied my log book and I'm at 500 sets of foam light seals replaced since January. That number hit me like a ton of bricks. It's not glamorous work, but it's steady, and it means people are still shooting with their old Minoltas, Pentaxes, and Canons. I buy the foam in bulk sheets from a supplier in Ohio and cut them myself, which saves a ton. The surprise is that it's become such a big part of my income now, more than the complex electronic fixes I trained for. Has anyone else seen a simple, repetitive job become their bread and butter?

Honestly felt the same way at first. What helped me was breaking things into tiny steps and just focusing on one at a time. The momentum from finishing small parts made the whole thing less awful. Took way longer than I wanted, but it got done.
