Just found out Canon's old FL mount lenses had radioactive glass

Oh man, I've been down that rabbit hole. So here's the deal, if you get a hold of one of those old FL lenses, don't freak out. The radiation is mostly just thorium oxide and it's totally safe to use, just don't grind the glass up and snort it or anything. The bigger issue is that over time the glass can take on a yellow-brown tint, but you can fix that pretty easy. I just leave mine sitting on a sunny windowsill for a few days and the UV clears it right up, turns back to clear glass. Just keep it away from film if you're storing it long term, the radiation can fog it.
