Dude at a yard sale tried to sell me a Pentax Spotmatic with fungus on the lens for $200

I told him the fungus will spread to the mirror box and he just shrugged. Didnt even know what fungus was, just kept saying it's vintage. Has anyone else run into sellers who have no clue what theyre actually selling?

Oh man, I've been there. I just started explaining what they have and why it matters, kind of like a quick history lesson. If they still won't budge, I just walk away. Usually they come running after me before I hit the car.

Hey I mean $200 for a Spotmatic with a bad lens is steep but the camera body itself might be fine if the fungus is just on the glass.
