A customer swore his camera was cursed and I almost believed him

Had a guy come into my shop last Tuesday with a beat-up Nikon F3 claiming it had a 'demonic energy' because the shutter would fire at random times. He said it only happened when his wife was nearby, and he was dead serious. I opened it up and found a tiny piece of broken film leader jammed in the shutter mechanism. Fixed it in 10 minutes for $35, and he asked if I could bless the camera too. Has anyone else gotten weird superstition stories from customers?

Dude that's nothing. Had a lady swear her old Polaroid was haunted because it only took blurry photos of her. Turned out the lens was just fogged up from her storing it in the bathroom. She still insisted I do a "cleansing" with sage before she took it home. People are wild.

And here I thought cleaning houses was the only job where people ask you to bless stuff. Guess camera repair shops are basically tech exorcism clinics now. Next time someone brings in a "cursed" gadget, just tell them the sage treatment is an extra $20.
