Switched to compression fittings after 20 years of using crimp connectors

I always swore by crimp connectors for RG6 coax, figured compression was just extra cost and hassle. Last month I had to redo a whole 12-unit apartment building in Austin after three calls about signal loss, and the compression fittings fixed every issue on the first try. Has anyone else seen a measurable difference in signal quality after making the switch?

Man I felt that one in my bones. I used to be the guy bragging about how crimpers were "good enough" and compression was just for the fancy cable guys with big trucks. Then I helped a buddy with his house and realized every single crimp connection I'd ever made was basically a ticking time bomb for signal loss. Now I've got a whole collection of compression fittings in my garage and feel like a fool for all those years of fighting with bad connections. It's like upgrading from dial-up to cable, you don't realize how bad it was until you switch.

Wait, isn't it true compression still can fail if you don't strip the cable right?
