Shoutout to the $400 cable toner I bought six years ago
I got it for a big job in an old apartment building where the wiring was a total mess. That thing has paid for itself ten times over by saving me hours of guesswork on every job since. What's the one tool you bought that felt expensive but ended up being worth every penny?

Honestly, my laser level. Changed everything.

Changed everything" is exactly right, man. I had a DeWalt one for years but I finally caved and got the green beam Bosch and it's honestly a game changer. Like just the other day I was hanging a bunch of shelves in my garage and normally I'd be measuring and leveling each bracket one by one, getting frustrated when they'd shift. With the laser, I just set it up, marked all my spots, and drilled away. No messing with a spirit level, no having to check if the bubble's centered while also holding a bracket. It saved me like an hour of fiddling around and everything was dead nuts level. Once you get one, you start finding excuses to use it.

Right? Which one did you get? I put off buying one for so long and now I feel dumb.
