My fish tape snapped inside a 2-inch conduit yesterday afternoon.

It was a Klein Tools model, and the end just sheared off about 15 feet in. Do you guys think a stronger tape is worth the extra cash, or is this just a bad-luck break?

Yeah I saw a video where a guy said the thicker tapes can bind up in smaller conduit. For 2-inch though, a heavier duty one might be the move after a snap like that.

Well that's a fun new puzzle for you. Now you get to fish for your fish tape. Maybe the conduit just wanted a shiny new necklace? Sounds like a real Monday kind of problem.

That's a tough break, man. For 2-inch conduit, a heavier tape is totally worth it. You need the extra muscle to avoid another snap.
