Just had a customer ask me to run a line through their pet door

Last week in Tempe, I was setting up a new drop for a house and the homeowner insisted the coax should go through the small flap for their cat. I spent ten minutes trying to explain why that was a bad idea before they finally agreed to a proper wall plate. What's the weirdest place a customer has ever wanted you to put a cable?

That "proper wall plate" is the only way to go. I had a guy who wanted me to run his ethernet cable out his bathroom window and back in through the kitchen vent. I just showed him a picture on my phone of what a chewed cable looks like from rodents. Sometimes you gotta give them a clear visual of the damage to make them understand the risk. What did you say to finally get them off the pet door idea?

Showed them my own chewed-up phone charger, @piper175, which was a pretty good case against letting cables become rodent snacks.
