Got called out by a customer in Denver for my cable runs looking messy
Honestly, this guy said 'I'm paying for a clean install, not a spider web' after I finished a triple play setup in his new house. I used to just get the signal and go, but now I spend an extra ten minutes with velcro ties and routing everything along baseboards. Has anyone else had a customer complaint that actually made you change your routine for the better?

That "spider web" line would stick with me too. It's easy to forget that what's normal for us looks like a mess to a homeowner. Now I treat every cable like it's in my own living room, tucking it behind furniture legs and using those little adhesive clips. It barely adds any time and the customers actually notice. Makes you feel like you did a real job, not just a quick fix.

Totally. I started keeping a pack of those velcro ties in my tool bag. Wrapping up the extra cord just makes the whole setup look clean, and it takes like two seconds. People love that stuff.
