Got called back to a house in Mesa because I mounted the box on the wrong side of the stud
Was doing a basic internet install in Mesa three weeks ago and mounted the box right where the old one was, only to find out the previous owner had put it on the wrong side of the stud so the drop couldn't reach. I ended up running a whole new line through the attic in 110 degree heat just to fix my own mistake, and the customer watched me the entire time. Should I start pulling the old box location with a stud finder before I trust what's already there, or is that just overkill?
