Finally caved and bought a nice cable toner for $120

I have been fighting with a cheap $20 toner for years that barely worked past 50 feet. Last week I splurged on a Fluke toner and probe set for $120 and it found a buried cable end in five minutes. That thing paid for itself on the first job. Anyone else upgrade something basic and wonder why they waited so long?

Oh man, 'barely worked past 50 feet' - that was me and my $15 special from Amazon, except mine gave up at 20 feet." Guess we both learned the expensive lesson the hard way, huh?
