Zip ties vs velcro: I re-did my whole server rack in an afternoon and now I can't decide which side I'm on
Two years ago I zip tied every cable in my rack at the shop in Tucson and it looked great until I needed to swap one switch last Tuesday, which took 40 minutes of cutting, while my buddy's velcro setup lets him pull a cable in 30 seconds but snags on everything and looks lumpy, so which one actually wins for a rack you touch more than once a year?

My buddy switched to velcro last year and never looked back.
