Wasted $75 on a cable sleeve kit from a big box store, now I need to know if I'm wrong about split loom
Bought a $75 cable management kit from a big box store in Fresno two months ago and honestly it was a total waste. The split loom pieces were too stiff to bend around the back of my desk and the adhesive clips popped off the drywall in like three days. So now I'm stuck arguing with myself about the two ways people handle this: do you spend real cash on those fancy braided sleeves and under desk trays, or do you just zip tie everything to a piece of IKEA wood and call it a day? Tbh the cheap velcro and a $9 roll of tape I grabbed at Harbor Freight worked better than the kit ever did. Ngl I think most cable sleeve products are overpriced junk aimed at people who don't want to drill a single hole. Am I wrong here, or has anyone actually found a sleeve kit that survives more than a month behind a standing desk?
