Rant: My zip tie phase lasted 4 years and made every upgrade a nightmare
Back in 2021 I went wild with zip ties on my desk setup, bundled everything tight against the legs. Looked clean for about a month, but every time I swapped a monitor or added a new device I had to cut 8 or 9 ties and start over. Last week I switched to Velcro strips from the hardware store, like a 6 dollar roll. Now moving one cable takes 5 seconds instead of 15 minutes with scissors. I also labeled each bundle with a sharpie so I don't guess which one goes where. Has anyone else ditched permanent ties for something reusable and never looked back?
